TinkerTank to Become World's Largest Toy Company

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (September 21, 2005) North Pole. After years of delivering billions of toys to children around the world, the two primary powerhouses in toy delivery are announcing the official formation of a new company that will be the largest company of its kind, responsible for the manufacture and delivery of toys, to be named TinkerTank Inc.

Headquartered in the North Pole, TinkerTank was formed by Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy (who’s real name is Bruce Basu,) who were each facing increasing pressure due to the globalization of holidays, media influences on children and an increasing population.

“Bruce and I got to talking,” explained an enthusiastic Santa, “and we realized that we were both facing exactly the same problems. So we thought, heck, we ought to be working together. And that’s just what we’re doing. We created one company that can develop and deliver the toys that kids want.”

Indeed, TinkerTank turned into an impressive venture. Using the facilities that the Claus family has been using for generations, TinkerTank expanded their capabilities by adding buildings, development labs, enhanced technology to map and track distribution channels, and many other modern infrastructure improvements.

“It’s really quite remarkable, and charming in it’s own way,” remarks Bruce, who had been living on the Left Bank of Paris for decades. “When I first saw the facilities, I was, obviously, struck by the harsh physical environment. But the spirit is so warm and generous, the creativity is phenomenal. The moment I saw all those little men creating such magic with their own little fingers, I knew this was the place for me.”

The two toy making veterans immediately made plans to merge all of their existing operations. Santa is serving as CEO, taking primary responsibility for the development and creation of toys. Bruce, whose own operations have been delivering treats to hundreds of children a night, every night, has taken over distribution and operations.

“Now we’re trying to identify the other key players in the industry,” explains Bruce. “Even with the massive size of the toy industry, there are only a handful of significant players, true leaders. And when you further narrow the market down to those of us who specialize in delivering toys while children sleep, it is clear that there are a precious few of us facing the same challenges in an enormous market. We are evaluating the field and developing strategies to either compete or collaborate.”

The global toy market is a multi-billion dollar industry. Although every day is a good day to play with toys, their purchase and delivery tends to pick up momentum around only a handful of key holidays. This move will enable TinkerTank to create a more steady operational flow by pooling resources and creating a supply chain that is strong all year round.

“And you now what else?” chimes a chipper Santa, “It’s just nice to have some new life around here. I love it here, been here for generations, my family is here and I love my elves, but Bruce has breathed some new life into the place. I think we’re on to something good.” Needless to say, Santa was laughing when he said that.
