Saint Patrick's Day - FAQ

Home
Hey Lenny, you gotta let me know...

Are you really lucky? Luckiest guy in the world, no doubt about it. Even when things are falling apart around me , I turn around and ba-bam, there’s something fun to do.

Do you like pumpkins? Not really, but my friend Jack does. I don’t really like four-leafed clovers all that much either, even though everyone thinks I do. It might be because I am so tall, I just have a hard time seeing anything that small, all the way down on the ground. Plus, I just really don’t believe that you need to find a little weed in order to be lucky, that seems a little silly and old-fashioned to me. Luck is everywhere, you just have to recognize it. (Which, for some people, is as hard as finding a four-leafed clover.)

Do you really guard a pot of gold? That’s kind of a long story. It was always a tradition for my people to store our gold in the pot at the end of a rainbow. They’re good hiding places too, because they’re hard for people to find, and by the time they thought they got there, the rainbow had moved. So we wound up with a whole lot of gold, and a whole lot of pots. But then people started using credit cards, then debit cards, and now it seems like almost everything is done using online banking, so no one really cares about gold. Right now I’m trying to come with new ideas of how to use all those pots and all those rainbows – if you have any ideas, please let me know.

Do you have kids? Not yet. But you never know.

How big are you really? 6’ 2”, but the spring in my step makes me appear taller sometimes.

What does a Leprechaun have to do with Saint Patrick’s Day? Honestly, not a darned thing. Saint Patrick was Irish, leprechauns are Irish – maybe someone thinks all us Irish folk look alike? Truth is, I’m a sight better to look at than that old guy, so it aint’ no real mystery why people would rather look at a happy old leprechaun than, well, come to think of it, I don’t have any idea what old Saint Pat looked like.
