Lenny O'Shea
Research & Development

Although he’s nearly 250 years old, everyone who knows Lenny swears that he doesn’t seem a day over 15. That’s because of his crazy mischievousness and uncanny ability to make a game or toy out of anything. People joke that Lenny dreams about springs and propellers and wheels and all the fun things that make toys. But it’s true.

As the Director of Research and Development, Lenny is the lifeblood of TinkerTank Inc. He grew up in the Irish Royal family, but not as a prince. His mother was the royal family’s head mushroom grower, and his father managed the worms used in the garden compost. So, although Lenny never had all the fabulous toys and games that the royal family had, he was able to see things that your average leprechaun just doesn’t see. That opportunity, added to the fact that he is the oldest of 26 kids, helped Lenny develop quite an imagination, and an amazing ability to keep kids entertained. Needless to say, that experience makes him the best in the biz when it comes to designing treats for kids.

He is best known for inspiring merriment around Saint Patrick’s Day. But what many people don’t know is that he was responsible for placing all those pots of gold at the ends of rainbows everywhere. Unfortunately, because of Internet banking and the use of debit and credit cards, those pots aren’t filled with gold anymore, and are rarely used, so he’s working on coming up with something to do with them. At TinkerTank, we’re excited, and a little nervous, to see what he comes up with.

Little Lenny Lessons....

He's very tall. VERY tall.

He's almost always barefoot because when he was growing up, his mom made him wear those silly pointed shoes that hurt his feet, so as soon as he was old enough, he stopped wearing shoes altogether. Except, of course, when he has to walk around outside at the North Pole, but he hates them, and takes them off as soon as he gets inside.
